Privacy Statement
(Updated: May 13, 2026)
The Oak Mountain Community Impact Foundation (“OMCIF”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on oakmountainfoundation.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. As a matter of policy, OMCIF does not disclose individual visitor information.
Donor Privacy
OMCIF is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. You may choose to remain an anonymous donor at any time. We subscribe and adhere to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Bill of Rights, which you may view online at www.afpnet.org.
OMCIF protects your personal information from loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure. Information you submit through our website is sent over a secure, encrypted connection, and only authorized personnel have access to the personal information you provide.
Use of Third Parties
OMCIF does not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with outside organizations for their own use. We do rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Site — specifically, a payment processor to handle card transactions and an email delivery provider to send donation receipts and newsletter messages. These providers receive only the information needed to perform that service on our behalf and are obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of any personal information supplied.
The Information We Collect
We collect personal information from you on this Site only when you specifically and knowingly provide it. The two ways visitors share information with us are:
- Making a donation: first and last name, email address, optional phone number, billing address, the donation amount and designation, and whether you elected to cover transaction fees. Card details are entered directly into our payment processor and are not seen or stored by OMCIF; we retain only a processor reference, the card brand, and the last four digits for receipt and reconciliation.
- Subscribing to the newsletter: first and last name, email address, and optional phone number.
OMCIF uses this information to process your donation, send the receipt and tax acknowledgment, deliver newsletter messages you have requested, and respond to direct inquiries. We do not use it for any other purpose.
OMCIF will only disclose your personal information without notice if we are required to do so by law, if it is necessary to protect the rights or property of OMCIF or this Site, or if it is necessary to protect the safety of users of the Site or the public.
Use of Cookies
OMCIF does not set cookies on oakmountainfoundation.org. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, analytics, or to identify visitors across sessions.
When you make a donation, the payment form is provided by our payment processor. The processor may set cookies of its own as part of handling the payment. Any such cookies are governed by the processor's privacy policy, not this one, and OMCIF does not have access to them.
Most web browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. If you choose to block cookies entirely, you may not be able to complete a donation.
Traffic Data
OMCIF does not track visitor activity on oakmountainfoundation.org. We do not run analytics, advertising, or behavioral-tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of your visits. Standard web server request logs may be retained briefly by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes, but OMCIF does not analyze or share that data.
When you submit our contact form, we briefly retain your IP address and browser identifier for up to 90 days to investigate and prevent abuse of the form. After 90 days these technical details are removed; the message itself remains in our records so we can keep helping you.
Payment Security
Card payments on this Site are handled by a trusted third-party payment processor that specializes in secure card processing. Your card number, expiration date, security code, and billing ZIP code are entered directly into the processor's payment form and are sent over a secure, encrypted connection. OMCIF does not see, transmit, or store your card details. We retain only a processor reference, the card brand, and the last four digits for receipt and reconciliation purposes.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
OMCIF may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect organizational changes or visitor feedback. When we make changes, the “Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised. If we make a material change to this Privacy Policy or to how we use your personal information, we will post that change here before it takes effect. We encourage you to review this page from time to time so you stay informed about how OMCIF protects your information.
